unusual diamonds bits
It’s been rainy days lately… not nice weather at all.
I went to a natural stone festival in Shinjyuku a few days ago.
I was kind of thinking that would be great if we could find something interesting in the festival. So I was walking around the event with my wife and stopped at a stall of Chinese jade.
There was a couple of boxes on the very corner of the table…
very weird boxes...
there we are!
Diamond bits that we don’t see normally in Japan were right in the boxes!!
No one around us seems to care about it but that was the most precious things for us.
Chinese people make things with jade traditionaly so that they have many of special tools in that way.
I got so excited by them.
but we forced ourselves to go around again after a while to cool down my boiling head in order to avoid buying things we wouldn’t need…
these are diamonds bits which I selected very carefully in the end.

the bigger was 3,000 yen and round one was 1,000yen ( this was already cheap…)
but the man in the stall gave us 500 yen discount so that we paid 3,500 yen after all...
What a bargain was that! Very cheap price I ever had.
To be honest, there were more stuff in that boxes I wanted but I gave up that feeling because i knew I can not get all the things in one go any way…
But the guy in the stall told me that he could send us postcards when he came to any events in Tokyo. Maybe he knew there were more stuff i want from him. (laugh)
Apart from those tools, we bought a pair of ammonites and a piece of copal instead of coral to give a try for carving.
Unfortunately, copal didn’t work like we expected as it was too fragile and soft for carving.
So we ended up nothing with it. (^^;
Well, success needs mistakes no?
That was all from me about the fesitival.
It was a great fun really. I wanna go there again.
Peace
