a new year's greeting card for 2011
Yesterday, I bought a magazine “bigissue” near the Sinjyuku station.
It’s a street magazine and that about the half of selling is going to the seller. Anyway, I sometimes read them and yesterday I found the latest one looked interested so I bought one of them.
When I was about paying coins to the seller, he gave me a new year’s greeting card (Japanese traditional card), but no words on it.
As He is hading the card to me, he said
“It’s from me. But I don’t know what your name.. So, please forgive me not to write any name on it.”
At the very moment, he was someone like Santa Claus to me…
Anyway,,
He sells 300 yen for a magazine and gets about 150yen? out of it as he is handing the 50 yen greeting card at every single time individually.
It reminds me that similar experiences used to be closer to me while I was traveling the world and also reminded me that has got place far from me for the last several years…
Probably without noticing it, I have been forgetting something like “humor” or “shanti” for the over years….
I buy again from him in the next year as well. (he is standing at Keio Department at Shinjyuku)
Well, that’s what how I got the first new year’s greeting card for 2011! (little bit earlier though…)
